Drawing Final Exam
1. How do you describe your artistic style/perspective? How do you define success as an artist? What do you find most rewarding about being an artist? What are some of the most important skills you draw upon to create your work? What are some of the most significant things you've learned through art-making?
Lately I would describe my art style as somewhat realistic. I love doing fantasy art but I started to take an interest in realism. I think that success as a artist could be defined in many ways. Having an active following is a popular one. If people love your art and are willing to buy and share it, you could be deemed a successful artist. To me your a successful artist If your able to do the art you love while making money off of your work with ease. The most rewarding part of being an artist would be creating art your proud of and getting to bring new ideas to life. Being able to draw from my imagination is important to me while creating work. Knowing the rules of perspective and having good composition skills are also important when creating art. Through art-making I learned self expression and creativity. The two self portraits below were both drawn months apart from each other. The photo on the left was taken at the beginning of the year the the one on the right was at the end, and I think this is a perfect example of how my art style changed and improved over the school year.
